I been doing some work on a list:
images attachments are now turned into url.(should make modem and digest =
user happy), uppped the max size to 2 megs.
HTML mail is converted to text (digest and archives look better, cut =
message sizes in half)
most of the nasty mime types are stripped (as in viruses)
average system delay has been turned down to 1 seconds.( we are 29 =
seconds faster now)
Mail system balanced for 114 mail messages per seconds max rate. (we =
will never get their, systems can do 10000+ list members)
New features for approving of first post(if we need it)
Better bounce protection, user notified if their email is causing a =
problem, if they get dropped they are set email over 3 weeks to sign =
back on.
I few improvements to the user singup/control pages.
The one thing I did not do was make the archive searchable. something =
for next week :-)
Ok , I setup a test list at =

all the futures turned on.
I beat it up the best I could, would love for others to try it out(as in =
different mail client, attachments and digest user), Frankly this is =
your change to change things :-)
Assuming all is well I cut the rhodes22-list over to the new =
software/system next weekend

PS. in case I did not make myself clear, This is not a replacment for =
the rodes22-list, it is a testing area for new software for the list, =
got it :-)
