<P>Gil,</P>
<P>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; I never meant to imply anything.&nbsp; I am just curious&nbsp; why everything about the Rhodes 22 is like a big secret and such a mystery that no can talk about.&nbsp;&nbsp;Do I need to know a password and handshake to get into the fraternity?? .&nbsp; Like one of those info-mercials about how to make it big in realestate....no useful information unless you come to the seminar/show and buy the tapes???&nbsp; Cant exchange&nbsp; documents?&nbsp; come on now!!!!&nbsp; I inherited a boat with no sails and most of what was there was screwed up.&nbsp;&nbsp; It would be different if there was some kind of customer support.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Oops,&nbsp; I&nbsp; guess I am not since I didn't buy new.&nbsp;&nbsp; Believe me....I am biting my tongue so I don't anger the gods.&nbsp; I should have bought the Chrysler 26 when I had the chance.</P></DIV>

<DIV></DIV>Todd,
<DIV></DIV>I'm thinking that MJM knows what Stan would approve, and also wondering
<DIV></DIV>if the doc's I received with the boat were written with a computer. If they
<DIV></DIV>were, it would be much easier to post a Word or text document file than the
<DIV></DIV>scan-ocr route. I'd just hate for Mark to do unnecessary work . The
<DIV></DIV>manuals make GREAT reading, just like the GBI web site!

<DIV></DIV>Gil,
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>Would sharing documentation really be stepping on Stan's toes??? Does
<DIV></DIV>Stan now offer reprinted copies of owners manuals and other literature of
<DIV></DIV>the like? If so How can I get these documents. Let me know because I have
<DIV></DIV>been retyping the ocr corrected then pdf formatted files that MJM posted for
<DIV></DIV>us all.

<DIV></DIV>Hi Mark,
<DIV></DIV>I have a recycled Rhodes 22, documentation from the purchase in
<DIV></DIV>April of this year.... But I don't want to step on Stan and his GBI
<DIV></DIV>operation. I'm thinking that GBI might want to sell the docs or what about
<DIV></DIV>the copywrite issue? Do you think Stan has the files in Edenton?
<DIV></DIV>Wondering if Michael or Stan can answer this question...

<DIV></DIV>Folks,
<DIV></DIV>I've "volunteered" (read "Michael drafted me") some of my time to put
<DIV></DIV>together a Rhodes 22 document library for the web site. I'm thinking that if
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>we pool our resources, we should be able to put together a pretty fair
<DIV></DIV>reference.
<DIV></DIV>Here's what I've got so far from Raven's documentation:
<DIV></DIV>Scanned images in .pdf format (not text), all circa 1988
<DIV></DIV>Rhodes 22 Owners Manual
<DIV></DIV>Rhodes 22 Mast Raising System
<DIV></DIV>Barient 8P Winch
<DIV></DIV>Bluet 206 Butane Stove
<DIV></DIV>I'd like to ask that you forward any Rhodes documentation you have in
<DIV></DIV>elecronic form to me at mark@kaynor.org . I think
<DIV></DIV>that at this point I'd like to limit submissions to items that were included
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>in original or recycled boats from General Boats - things that more than one
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>or two owners are likely to find useful.
<DIV></DIV>Anyone know much about copyright laws and how they might apply to a project
<DIV></DIV>like this? I assume we'll have to obtain permission from various
<DIV></DIV>manufacturers to "reprint" their documentation. I'm also thinking about
<DIV></DIV>including URLs to appropriate resources, as well.
<DIV></DIV>This is just slightly more than a gleam in my eye at this point, so I'm open
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>to any suggestions or comments (and / or volunteers).
