Mary,
There was only one Shel Silverstein. He was immensly talented and wrote many 
different sorts of things. While his poetry has been at the top of children's 
best seller lists he got his start writing for Stars & Stripes and then 
Playboy. He wrote plays, movie scores and tons of songs including the 
hits "Cover of the Roliing Stone", "Boy Named Sue", "Queen of the Silver 
Dollar" and "The Unicorn"
