Mine slides very easily and has a camcleat at the aftend of the boom.
The system works just slickly for usual comditions. However in heavy winds I
have been overpowered and loose speed without ability to reef main a little
more. The slider moves easily but the wind will take the outhaul lines
leward thus sail shape is pitiful and control of main is poor.
What is your thumscrew like? That is what I'm thinking this needs, some sort
of hardware piece that will stop the sail long the boom slider at any point.
