[Rhodes22-list] Help! My tongue is stuck!

No problem with extension hitch on side. It is approx. 12" over and
parallel to main hitch. I dry sail on trailer in marina boat parking lot. I
hitch up to long extension hitch when I arrive and then move to ramp and
launch then drive back and park still hitched on till we get done sailing.

It sounds like a good solution. The hitch that you use to launch the boat
must be off center. Does that present any problems?

Also has anyone launched without using the extension? I had an idea of
welding the tongue at some point where I could still tow short distances and
still be able to launch the boat. I have my boat in a slip all season and
only use the trailer twice a year.
I only tow it about 8 miles each way. I usually pick high tides to launch
and retrieve the boat and also I rent a truck so that I am not overly
concern about the rear wheels being submerged!
