Michael,
Just doing a little eyeball calculations, it would only take approximately 
twenty gallons of water to start flowing out of any vents added. That is 
about 160 lbs, which is the weight of a rather small male of the species. I 
doubt that it would put enough weight in the rear of the boat to make the 
vents useless for draining. We normally sail with at least two people, 
approximately 325 lbs at the rear without any significant change in boat 
attitude.
