Roger, I enjoyed your story very much and looked up the various points on the map and marveled at your journey. I couldn't find Gray's Reef however and it looked like the areas west of Mackinaw are mostly open water. I was surprised to hear this is a narrow shipping lane, where you recovered the hatch cover.
