[Rhodes22-list] KY Lake in Sept.

Rik,

Robin, Dylan, Kyle and I are still in "maybe" mode. We're moving to a new
house over labor day weekend, so have a lot of other issues. Also, with 2
young'uns we need more hands on board than just Robin and myself. We ALWAYS
need to sail with at least one other person who is comfortable watching out
for a 2yr old on a sailboat.

So, one thing we are still considering is coming down without Fretnaught.
We'd bum rides from whoever is there who would welcome a circus aboard. All
of this is going to depend on how the move goes, etc.

Of course, it WOULD be nice to get another plate on the "Spitzer Cup" with
"Fretnaught" on it. I'd actually get to keep the trophy for more than a
week or 2! ;^)

That may have to wait a year or 2, though.

I'll let you know!

Hello all you midwestern Rhodies,

It's just about the end of summer again already and time to start thinking
about the annual Kentucky Lake get together at the end of Sept. Oh yeah, I
know I'm not an official Rhodie anymore, just an alumnus, but I'm going to
be there just the same. Remember I've got that big old shiny trophy from
last years regatta that some lucky sailor is going to take home with them
this year. Not only that, but it's been just a pretty darn good time for
everyone that's been involved the last couple of years. Lots of good food
and good company in a very nice setting. Just the thing to unwind a little
after a hectic summer.

So how about it? Who's all up for it. C'mon now, you know you're all
looking for a good excuse to go somewhere and this excuse might be about as
good as it gets.

Rik
