[Rhodes22-list] 6 hp Mercury alternator

I seem to also remember from way back... when alternators were a "new"
technology... that they couldn't be run without a load.  (Boy I hate the
sound of that:.... back when....)

I also think that I've notice that small outboard motors have generators,
rather than alternators.  Which goes back to Rummy's advise; check with the
dealer or an owners/service manual.
