 Thanks Todd, you are correct sir and you may have saved me a lot of work. 
You described my exact set up.  I was under this morning and could see no seam 
up inside there. I have plates that screw  on the side and there is a recess 
for a pin molded  into the walls of the trunk. .  I thought they were home made 
to facilitate a repair but they look intact and usable.  Do you now if the 
rudder is the same dimension as the board as I have heard?  I will leave the 
cemented area intact.  I did not relish jack hamering it out.  And for the small 
amount of seepage I get it's not worth pounding away at the cement block.  It 
looks like the center guide of the trailer has to be removed for me to do this 
or cribb the boat up and pull the trailer out.  I may need some detail from 
you on the rope and pulley set up.  I do have the remains of mine. Thanks again.
