Dan, If you have a recycled boat that Stan recently worked on, BoatUS will
accept a letter from Stan indicating the value.  At least they did for me.

Hi Jay just got off the phone with Boat US  the most they will insure is 
10000 which includes the motor. Only way to increase coverage is to get a 
formal marine survey. They were not aware of General Boats recycle program 
but will look into the situation. They simply go to a marine blue book and
