Thanks
I purchased my boat from a 90 year old couple who got the boat in 1976. I have been happy with the major stuff, but I guess they just day sailed the boat the last few years. The details need some TLC and the cabin needs some work.

Bob,

I have had my boat...A major project, I must say....since about last September. I didn't get much done before winter really set in though. I spend too much time repairing the trailer so I could get the boat home. I am going the poor-boy route to get the boat in the water this season. I am buying new hardware, lines, and small stuff, but waiting until next year possibly to buy new sails, renovate the galley and replace the rigging.

There are some older threads from Roger P. about adding two-part poured in foam floatation under the v-berth if yours does not have it already. Defender Marine sells the stuff or ask Denny Sitler for the name of the company where he got his.

This is a problem, probably specific to my boat, but check the condition of stringers under the floor in the cabin floor. If the boat has ever had any standing water in the bilge or cabin (like mine); or if the stringers had never been re-glassed or re-sealed, then there is a good chance some water got into the wood.

More, when I think of it,

Todd
