Jay, I am catching this tread late, sorry i have not jumped in yet. I had
the same issues with needing more sheeves. I wanted a topping lift and a
halyard for the wisker pole and some day a spinnaker. I have a standard
main w/ furling jib. The jib sheeve is empty. I bought a halyard line (
added about 15 feet more than necessary ) and two shackles. I will have a
shackle on each end of the halyard. One end will serve duty as a topping
lift the other end will serve as spinnaker halyard ( I wont need a topping
lift while sailing ) The extra leanth is to lead it aft to the cockpit.
Hope this helps I am a big fan of the KISS theory and If something can do
double duty it will (Kinda of a motto of Rhodes).

Bob W.
