I was referring to mounting the anchor roller on an
angle.  Positioning so that with the spinaker pole
extended around 3 or 4 feet in front of the boat; the
pole tip become centered.  That why the angle of the
anchor roller.  

Kind of the way the J boats do it.  The bow sprit
extended is centered.  But when pulled back in; it is
actually on the side of the boat.  

I agree with you that the bow sprit is the way to go
with an asysmetrical spinaker.  Also, you can locate a
couple large ratchet blocks to the stern cleats as
your pevit point back to your winches.
