[Rhodes22-list] Escape From Experimental Island

They called him "Lawn Chair Larry." He flew more that once in the L.A.
Basin area. He reportedly reached heights of around 16,000 feet and was
proclaimed a hazard to aviation by the FAA when passing airliners reported
him at their altitude. He always carried with him his trusty riffle which
he used to reduce his number of balloons when he wanted to descend. Knowing
what I know about balloons and, in particular, Boyle's Law I find it
remarkable he survived....but he did, unscathed.

Fair Winds,

Bob Hendrickson
