Lessee. the big square white thing is a LifeSling, a well packed MOB 
flotation device at the end of a rope. It hangs on the stern rail near a 
cleat. When we cast off the dock lines the end of the LifeSling line goes 
to the cleat. The white pole next the swim ladder is our fishfinder/depth 
sounder. After fussing for several months trying to get a reliable spot to 
shoot through the hull, we fastened the transom-mount transducer to a piece 
of PVC and fastened it to the swim ladder with hook over the rail and a 
bracket made from a u-bolt. It worked so well that we've had it there for 2 
full seasons. You can see the display to the left of the companionway.
