[Rhodes22-list] Cockpit Under Water

All day, meant while under sail.  When stoped and people were moving about,
the water drained out. Seems my question has been answered best by Roger.

In my one sail so far, Elton prompted me to notice that the static water
level in the drain tube was ~3" below the cockpit deck level, with just two
persons onboard.  

With a large crowd aboard, is it possible that you increased the draft
sufficiently to put the cockpit deck below the waterline?  When you say all
day, do you mean at the mooring/alongside the dock too?  

If so, you can (temproarily) plug that drain.  Along with the boat, Elton
delivered an expansion plug to fit the aft centerline drain in the cockpit.
Meant to stop this sort of thing.  You just need to remove it to allow
drainage when you leave the boat.
