Rummy,

I was not referring to the 3 necessary kegs; it's the "extra" keg some people carry, the one they never drink all year, that is better aged ashore.

I'm with you on removing all the junk on the boat. We all tend to have to
much stuff on board. However, the extra keg is a necessity, not a luxury.
The crew gets real ugly when you run out of rum.
