The reason we do not stop is profound:  we do it for ourselves.

Sometimes I think it might be an area thing.  Rose is from the hills of VA and I am from south Bklyn and in the early days she had the "what did he say" look.  Today she is my best audience but maybe that is because she is now even older than I am. But I
always made the young girls laugh - whenever I asked a girl to marry me, she laughed.

......except Rose, who was new to the area.
