hang the hook on the bar with the string attached, let it hang stright down, look for a spot on the cabin step, side to mount the
cleat.

The plate mounts with two #6 screews, bed the screews and line up for the push loch "bar"

I just received a few additional parts for my boat from GB.

The "marine club" pop top securing device consists of a hook that appears to fit over the pop top's stainless bar, about 5' of line,
and a clam cleat. The sliding hatch strike is a flattened "L" shaped piece of hard plastic with countersunk drill holes for SS
screws

To which point in the cabin is the clam cleat for the "marine club" usually attached?

How is the sliding hatch lock strike plate installed. It seems logical that the strike plate is secured over the lip on the hatch
slide with the "ell" facing down and aft

i.e.  aft            ====================        Fwd
                     || /lip on slide\

no instuctions were included. As it is a pain to bring lots of tools out to the moring, I'd like some confirmation before I drill.

Thanks
