Rummy,

Man, am I the only one who takes his R-22 out of sight of land & into places
where there isn't a gas dock every couple of miles?

> Roger,
> As everyone knows, I carry a single, 6 gallon tank in the lazzerette. My
owners manual states that at full throttle I will burn 1 gallon of gas each
hour. Since I run only at 2/3 throttle, the gas consumption is less than the
one gallon per hour. Our lake has bridges which limit how far we can go.
Traveling from the farthest points back to my marina, which would take the
better part of a day, I would still have plenty of fuel left in the tank.
Besides, it's only five miles distance between the four big marina's and you
can buy gas there 24 hours a day with a credit card. Now, if they would only
place a liquor store at each marina, I wouldn't have to carry those large
rum casks on the foredeck.
