[Rhodes22-list] Fiddle Rail

I just reglued all the spindles on my galley counter fiddle rail.  People,
myself included, have the tendency to grab it and use it as a hand hold when
the boat heels.  It seems to be just too "handy" to resist and has thus been
yanked apart, hence the regluing.

I'm wondering if/how anybody else has dealt with this.  Is anyone's rail
sturdy enough to be used as a hand hold, or do we all have to break
ourselves of the temptation to grab it?
