[Rhodes22-list] Anchor rode fairleads

Thanks for the suggestion. In my 30 years of boating I have limited experience with overnight anchoring.

How do I know hard twine when I see it? What  is the recommenced method of application.

There are a variety of fairleads which you can buy and thru-bolt to the bow
of your boat.  Most seem to work OK but proper bedding and mounting in the
bow may be physically challenging.

Check the West Marine Catalog for a selection of anti-chafe devices (of
varying effectiveness).  If you are always going to use the full length of
your anchor rode, which I recommend, you can whip the appropriate area with
hard twine.  Cheap effective and looks good.
