[Rhodes22-list] new IMF main

Let me guess. In order to put a batten into a IMF mainsail, it would have to
be able to curl up and fit inside the mast. My guess is the battens are made
of a material similar to the metal used on Venetian blinds. It is fairly
strong when fully extended due to the curvature, but easily rolls up
repeatedly without losing it's strength. How am I doing Stan?

Well ... I am interested - especially since my current main is rather old
and will need to be replaced in the next few years. So Jay ... What is the
increase in sail area?  What is a secret batten?  How does the boat sail? Do
you have pictures?  Does it have afterburners?
