Wally,
Razz still exist, saw him a week ago cleaning up his boat. He

Subject: Re: [Rhodes22-list] Rhodes 14 (Bantam)

Patricia,

Actually there are two known Rhodes Bantam owners on this list. I am one
of
the owners and have psoted pics a couple of times. My laptop doesn't
have
the pics but my Bantam is all wood and built in 63. It sits on a trailer
in
my garage and gets little use now that I have the R22. The Bantam is a
great
little boat and was designed by Rhodes in 47 (I think). I have sailed
in
the sounds of NC a couple of times with the Bantam. as well as local
East TN
rivers and lakes; it turns heads every time!

Patricia you mention you have a wood mast, is the hull wooden as well?
My
hull, tiller, rudder and boom are wooden. However I have an aluminum
mast
with spreaders. I also have an 85 pound center board that utilizes a
wooden
wheel and pully to gain mechanical advantage from raising from the helm.
The
fiberglass Bantams don't have this arrangement and use a much lighter
CB.

Razz also owns and is restoring a very old Bantam. I haven't seem him
post
in a while so I am not sure if he is still out there......

Welcome to the list!

Wally, Watts Bar TN
