Oh Slim, 
We used to have days like that on the lake with my family!
My brothers referred to it as "the dumb bohunk" way of 
doing everything!
My Dad is not very mechanical or intuitive about mechanical 
things. (He was a huge IH dealer but the hired mechanics learned 
they had to sneak around to fill up his Scout with oil before he 
burned up another new one in 6 months time!) 
Anyhow, Labor day was the day to bring in all the boats and the 
dock. By the time 2000hrs rolled around, we were not done and 
often missing tools, tires in water, etc. 
The important thing about my Dad is that he was laughing 
through the whole thing. I always think fondly of all these shenanigans, 
but my brothere complain that they had to do the rescue part, and I 
suppose that was frustrating. (My brothers are very mechanical)
Hope the snow is delayed as our bad weather was delayed here. 
gave me two good sails this weekend!
