Hello Bob,

Strongly suggest you do not use silicone.  Polysulfide (3M 101 West Marine
2003 master catalog, page 377), although a little more costly, will do a
better job, last longer and clean up easier after it dries.  Do not even
think of using a polyurethane like 3M 5200, as the part will be forever and
irrevocably welded by the polyurethane glue.
