I saw the site. However they are in Florida and I am in New York. The
nearest dealer is on Chesapeake Bay a small operation and does not have a
website. He will have a 24 foot Nimble motor sailer and the 24 foot trawler
at the Annapolis boat shows but not the boat (Vagabond) that I am interested
in.

This puts me in an awkward situation. Knowing nothing of powerboats I am
not inclined to stick out my neck to the tune of $20,000 + and order one.
No... the Nimble people themselves do not have one to inspect either. No
used ones as best I can tell.

On the other hand... am I in any position to judge the sailing qualities of
the Nimble. No standard of comparison. Very competent designer (Ted
Brewer) and although blue water sailor, I do not sail under particularly
vigorous conditions. I really a matter of enough power I suppose. Also
their boat (Nimble) is the only game in town so what's the alternative?
GROAN...

I did buy the Rhodes sight unseen but, I know something of sailboats, 25
years sailing along with the informative list convinced me to call Spitzer
and make a deal. I have not been disappointed (except I wish it was
faster.)

I busted my ass last weekend trying to outsail an old Catalina 22/23 with
blown out sails, in light air. By paying strict attention to my tell-tales,
hull trim and by trying to anticipate wind shifts I could outsail him...
barely. I was not a happy camper after that.

I am anything but a racer but, with my Albin 28 I beat most 30 and 32 foot
boats with ease.

I still have my kayak. Maybe I should paddle that and become a slip bound
sailor like most at my marina.
