I wouldn't be undercutting STAN.
Last time I was at Stan's house he told me his wife wants a new deck too.
Better make that $180,000.

Wally:

Tell Mr. Mayfield that he can order a brand new custom made Rhodes
22 from Stan for $140,000. Then Stan finally get a new roof.

The last two weekends have been perfect here in East TN. Last weekend we
were out Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. This weekend we were out Friday

and Saturday night. We are having fall early! Clear skies at night, lows in
the 50s!

Yesterday highs were about 80 with steady 10 winds. A long time member of my

marina is a very wealthy gentleman whose family name is on just about every
milk jug sold in East TN. The guy is loaded and goes through boats like no
one I have ever seen. In the last 4 years he has owned 2 40 foot Benataus
(sic?) and a J 80. A couple of months ago he sold his J 80 and ordered an
Alerion 28.

These things cost about 128K stripped. I heard his cost 150K plus. They are
sweet looking boats and advertised to be the "prettiest girl at the dance".

The owner was sailing with his wife Sunday. I decided to get close for a
look at his new toy under sail. My wife was at the helm and I was trimming
sails. He was 4 or 5 hundred yards ahead of us heading down wind. We were on

a broad reach and gaining on him rapidly inspite of his attempts to head
more upwind and shake us. We got about 50 yards behind him and it was
obvious we were going to catch him. I said to my wife " I bet Mr. Milkman
tacks away so he will not get passed." No sooner said then he headed further

upwind and tacked. So I quickly told Jenny to tack and go get him. After
about three tacks heading upwind we finally crossed ahead of him. I made
sure Jenny waved at him as we passed!

Priceless!

Wally
