Russ, something is not right with this story, Gas stations have been using gelcosted gas tanks for years, in fact the EPA has force
most of the underground  steel tanks to be replaced, your boat probably has better gelcoat than is used in those tanks. Simple oil
in the water should have been cleaned up with a pressure washer with degreaser and some bottom paint

Maybe it was greed, but the oil company would have simply paid the claim, needing a lawsuit, layer expensives and the builder to
pull the hull warrantee, sound like thier is alot more to the story or something else about the boat in play, maybe this is a great
deal but this story is not "ringing" true.
