[Rhodes22-list] Winter sailing - in South Carolina

Rob, Mark:
Greenville is a reasonable 4-hour drive from your location. Big
Water marina where I have a slip has plenty of transient slips. Just
tote your trailerable sailboat down.
On the other hand, you guys could just drive down sometime and
bum a ride with another R22. If you come together, you could have a
designated driver and put the other guy on Rummy's boat. All it would
take to ride with him is to bring a bottle of Mt. Gay rum. I drink very
little of that stuff, so just bring lemonade.
Have you ever been down I-77 toward Charlotte? And now there is
another way over the mountains, I-26 is complete toward Johnson City,
Tenn.

                          Ed K

Wally,
Mark and I both sail on Claytor Lake, about 30 minutes south on I-81,
but
Mark has a slip and I don't :) .

There used to be a Spanky's over near the Kroger's grocery store, but
that
wasn't on the main drag. The bar on the main drag on the corner is now
"Woodys". - Rob
