[Rhodes22-list] Has anyone seen this terrific new book!!!

Jay,

What I meant to say was that I haven't sailed my own boat this year. The closest I came was sailing with you for an hour when we both knew I shouldn't be there. But it was wonderful, I treasure that hour because it was virtually the only sailing I've done so far this year, and I later thought of several aspects of heaving-to that we didn't cover--wait til next Father's Day! My brother says he loves going to LBI, really missed it the only year he skipped it, and has no plans of skipping it ever again.

I would go just to see you pull into and out of your slip. The way you do that, single handing, is a thing of beauty. It reminds me of Venice, where people are so comfortable with their boats they routinely perform maneuvers I wouldn't even know how to start to approach. Stan sails the same way.

For me, it's a metaphor for life, and the simple beautiful way I would like to live as opposed to the herky-jerky way I seem to pick too much of the time.

Looking forward to seeing you next year. Hope I can squeeze in some time on my own boat before then.

Bill

Being hove-to on the water doesn't constitute sailing. Right, Bill?

Congratulations on your completion and great success. I hope our
"detour/distraction" didn't account for the missed deadline.
Jay
