If you keep tying up Mark, nothing will ever get finished.  Mark is Stan's
only consistent help who knows what the end product is supposed to look like
and do.  However, he does not have the sailing/sailboat experience knowledge
that Stan, Elton or Dido bring to a problem.  Dido learned to sail on the
Black Sea and understands boats.  His other helpers can do the work but
require instructions and education on the objective.  

Since you are talking about Seawards, your best bet is for Elton to figure
out what is needed.

Plastic wood - the moldable wood filler is not flexible, can be drilled and
screwed into.  But it needs cure time.  It sticks to wood (Cellulose fiber)
real good.  Water soluble version not the same quality for durability even
after cure time.

What about Epoxying wood base in place?

Roger's suggestion of foaming it place sounds good.

Is Elton bringing it to you or are you going south?  If you are going to
Edenton, get Elton and Ditto to give you suggestions.  Then have Stan QC
their suggestions.

Michael,

There is no adhesive I am aware of that I would trust to bond a polyethylene
or polypropylene fuel tank or heavily loaded shelf to the hull of a
fiberglass boat.  Adhesives just don't bond very strongly to these polymers.
You could polyurethane foam the tanks in place.  Or, you could fiberglass
wrap the tanks in place.
