 Based on my own experience I would advise you to go with the IMF and the big 
genny. You can always furl them to the point where you feel comfortable in 
any wind and they are great when you're ready to singlehand your boat. The 
Rhodes is a very forgiving boat and you're more likely to screw up going in and out 
of your slip than out on the water.
