Slim
I'm very interested in your blocking tecnique, however am unable to open
your photos in this format. Any advice on how to view photos?

Subject: [Rhodes22-list] Blocked for painting

Jim,
Hare are a few shots of my boat blocked up for painting. When I did
it, I also took the tires off and let the axle rest on the ground. I
jacked it up in two stages. First I jacked it as high as it would go
with the trailer jacks, then I blocked up the hull and cranked the
jacks back into their "short" position. Then I put blocks under the
wheels of the rear jacks and then jacked up again, then added more
blocks under the hull. As you can see, I put two points under the
stern and one in the bow. For the blocks under the bow, I pulled the
trailer tongue extension out a bit so it would be out of the way.
Sorry I didn't take the pictures with the tires off the trailer, but I
really had a lot of room to work. Of course, when I was done, I
lowered the boat back down on the trailer and then painted the spots
where the blocks were.
Hope this helps,
Slim
