[Rhodes22-list] Spade Anchor Alert

The nut securing the bolt that holds the 2 parts together fell off on some guy's boat in New Zealand, and the bolt slipped out of the anchor.  The boat grounded, and apparently broke up.  There is now a cotter pin hole to keep the nut in place.  Make sure your anchor has one, and use it.

I just went to the sailmagazine.com site and didn't see the article. Can you
tell me more about it? I've been considering a Spade anchor for our Tayana
as they seem to be held in high regard by cruisers.
