[Rhodes22-list] ICW and the channel

Does this knowledge imply that Rummy is studying the ICW as a place
to sail? Is he buying a deep draft boat? Has he been secretly visiting the
North Carolina coast. The Rhodes has no problem with the ICW. As for 'snow
birds' not following the channel, autopilots just are not good enough yet to
follow the channel without a skipper at the helm. Maybe Bill Effros should
hold classes using leaded line.
Reminds me of the guy who sued Winnebago because the thing crashed
after he set it on cruise control and went in the back.
Mary Lou, thank you for finding the key to Hank's pictures. Unless
he is planing to work on it 24/7/12, July 4th is a bit optimistic. However,
never underestimate a determined man. He may be wearing a blue undershirt
with a big red 'S'.

Nell,
Boaters are already on the "hit" list. The federal government has reduced
the expendature for maintaining the intercoastal waterway from 20 million
down
to a mere 6 million. Snow birds going south are reporting depths much
shallower than is expected and many have run aground several times in North
Carolina.
Many are seeking the safety of the open ocean instead of traveling the
ICW.

Rummy

PS Good rant.
