I have also installed the # 2 service pack up grade.  I have no problem 
using the  MS Paint program. Depending on when you did your installation you 
may want to do a system restore.  Choose a date just after the insstallation 
of the service pack.  You can find it under system tools.  If that does not 
work, you may have to reinstall windows.
