[Rhodes22-list] Almost new Rhodes Owner from Canada - Arizona sailing?

Hello!

I just wanted to introduce myself.  My name is David Dallas and I am from
Calgary, Alberta Canada.  I used to dinghy sail years ago then stopped when
my kids were born.  This past summer the sailing bug was biting yet again -
this time my wife agreed that 'it was time' and we could look at a boat.
Long story short, we went from looking at 14-16 foot dinghys to pocket
cruisers (with the associated increase in cost!).  We both fell in love with
the looks, features and safety aspect of the Rhodes 22.  The passionate and
devoted owners on this list, and General Boats 'in general' and Stan 'in
particular' were also factors.  The only problem was seeing one, sailing
one, then getting one to western Canada!  Stan was extremely helpful and
through an amazing coincidence, there was a local owner who had recently
purchased a Rhodes but was unable to sail it.  We were able to have a look
this summer (though not a sail) and put a down payment on the boat.   I am
now saving every cent I can in order to make the final payment next spring,
when we will get to sail the boat.  I have been lurking on this forum for a
couple of months, and have my rhodes binder with all the information from
Stan's website to get me through the winter.  I hope to become more active
on the 'list' as I get closer to owning my Rhodes.  

I am going to Arizona (Scotsdale) tomorrow for meetings and will be there
throughout the weekend.  There seems to be a lovely lake, Lake Pleasant,
about 45mins away.  I have Saturday afternoon, Oct 16th free and was hoping
to get to sail (the season in Canada is a little shorter than the Southern
US).  Could anyone provide me with information on boat rentals there?  There
didn't seem to be any info on this on the website.  Or, if any of the list
sails out of Lake Pleasant and wouldn't mind taking an eager and almost new
sailor for an afternoon on their Rhodes, I will buy the lunch/beverages
(your choice!).
