[Rhodes22-list] Google Desktop with a POLITICAL spin

Bill,

I just finished a book, "Gang of One" by Fan Shen,
which also is my wife's name.  The author is from
Beijing. Fan (my Fan) is from Beijing.  Both were
graduates of the "Class of 82'", the first class of
college graduates after the Cultural Revolution shut
down the universities.  We had a discussion during
dinner Saturday night about Party job assignments
after college.  My interest was Fan v Fan's experience
with the Party assignment.  As much as I disagree with
your party, I'm glad you exist.

There are no fans of big government or "I'm here from
the government to help you" folks in this household.

You knew that!

On a separate note, I voted Saturday and the first
poll worker I encountered said, "I like your hat but
you have to take it off".  "Thank you", said Bradley,
"I went to school in Wisconsin".  "No, you have to
take it off, the K people will complain".  I replied,
"so what, they went to school in Kentucky".  "You have
to take it off, I'm serious".

So I voted without my W hat.  I've been
dis-enfranchised!
