Hey Doug,

In the midst of all this political banter, here's your post about your
shakedown cruise.  Congratulations!  And thanks for reminding us why we're
all here.  8-)  

It's a wonderful thing when you can go out with someone who's really expert
in sailing.  There's so much to learn and of course the owner needs more
work--we always will.  That's part of the beauty of it.  It's like being a
home-owner because you're never "done" with projects and improvements.

I love single-handing my Rhodes and that's one of the big reasons I own one.
I think you'll find the R22 very forgiving of mistakes and very rewarding of
proper handling.  Here's to you, Skipper!  And may you have many years of
enjoyment!
