Boy, it sure is nerve-racking when a named storm gets into the Gulf. We had
a small hurricane followed by a named tropical storm in two consecutive
weekends a couple of years ago. After the second storm, I called the marina
to see how things had fared. The guy said he'd figure it out once
everything came back from under water.

I'm not sure how, but Velvet Elvis did fine. There was about an inch of
water in the bilge, and everything was completely intact.

I think I saw that Ivan is packing 140 mph winds. The problem for me is
that I don't have a trailer, and if I did, I don't really have anywhere to
take her.

We'll test the "unsinkable" claim yet!

Ben

Ben,
Just wondering when you'll take your boat out of the water?
If you remember the discussion about lake levels from last week, we started

out with the lake being down almost four feet on Monday. Today we are at
full
pond and the water will continue to rise for several days. Thanks to
Frances.

Rummy
