That should get you started.

That said, I would take some local sailing course first, start with dingy and find a group keel boat courses, flow that up with some 
power squadron navigation courses. right now you got the "cart before the horse", learn to sail, figure out where you are going to 
sail then get a boat, all boat are compromises and should match your are and usage, people are be kind to you, no body in their 
right mind wants a ww19.
