I had one.  The long shaft model.  There was never an issue with power. In
fact I could make excellent headway into 20 kt winds gusting to 30!  Quite
and very fuel efficient!

I found the engine could be a little hard starting when cold but I
understand that is a common issue with 4 strokes.

On the down side.  Even the shaft is not long enough.  In a seaway there
would be a cavitation problem unless I sat in the rear of the cockpit on the
port side.
