I'm afraid you'll wait a long time before you find an R22 and trailer for
$2000, and if you did, it would need a lot more than just cosmetic work and
new sails. The lowest price I remember seeing for a Rhodes that's in minimum
sailing condition was more than twice that, and I don't think that included
a trailer.

If you're dead-set on your budget and if you're quite "handy" and are
willing to spend the time, you might be able to find a "project boat" in
that price range.  But then of course you'll be spending more money on parts
and materials.  Todd is doing that--let's ask him.
