Good Afternoon. 

Per my phone conversation with Stan, the following is a synopsis of the type of criteria I am looking for in my search of a Design/Engineering Manager. 

Design and Engineering Manager
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer Department: Engineering

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, manage the overall Engineering and Design process of composite onshore/offshore boats. The manager will facilitate a smooth transition from design, prototype development and new model introduction to manufacturing. 

Essential Functions:
Design
To understand the needs of the market served; extrapolate critical design parameters from the leadership of the company and transcend these ideas into a solid model utilizing Uni-Graphics modeling software.

New Product R&D
Lead the new product development process including design, laminates, patterning kits, material testing, build book construction, BOM development and performance testing. Aid manufacturing in new model implementation.

Engineering
Develop and maintain product build books, customer service parts and owners manuals for all products. Drive the ECR/ECN process and maintain product compliance standards for all products

Additional responsibilities:
Training and guidance of engineering product and functions to team leaders, sales/marketing, customer service and suppliers.

Education and Experience:
Degree in engineering related field or equivalent boat manufacturing/design experience.
Five + years boat manufacturing and design experience
Experience as a quick thinker, decision-maker and problem solver with marine applications.
Microsoft Office, Uni-Graphics, Fastship
