@CHECK Re: [Rhodes22-list] boom room

Bruce,

On a typical night there is so little wind you could anchor on a box of
paper clips--almost literally. When there is a storm I take down the
pop-top enclosure as well as the pop-top, and hunker down in the cabin.
That's the time when you really appreciate the opening side windows.
The boom room would come down too, any time there is serious wind--which
is almost never when you are using the Boom Room.

Around here you can almost always see the weather coming on your
computer, in your home, days before you pack your toothbrush for a night
on the boat. We are not subject to sudden squalls, tornadoes, down
drafts, thunder storms, etc. In the 6 years I've been using it, my
pop-top enclosure has never seen either a drop of rain, or more than 5
kts. of wind. I won't plan a night out if I see anything coming. There
is always the next night.

Don't worry about windage on the Boom Room, for us it's not a factor.
