Well, I'm no expert, but it seems to me that they'd be better off now 
that all the water has had a chance to flow in, they would be better off 
to leave the holes in the dikes open so the water can run out the same 
way it got in. The water levels from the storm surge, according to 
reports, has apparently dropped outside the dikes to below the level of 
the water inside the dikes. The water should now flow out, just like it 
came in. Surely not all of it, but a darn good share.
