Steve and Chris,

Speaking of linguistics, four English professors were walking home after
attending a lecture on Shakespearian rhetoric when they came upon a group of
"professional women" standing about on the corner. They began discussing
how Shakespeare would have described them:

The first and youngest one said he thought Shakespeare would have referred
to them as a "jam of tarts."

The second said he thought Shakespeare would have called them a "flourish of
strumpets."

The next said the Bard would have called them an "essay of trollops," (hint:
double entendre--Trollop's--Victorian)

And the last and oldest and wisest said Shakespeare would have opted for the
most simple and straight-to-the-point and called them simply an "anthology
of pros."
