[Rhodes22-list] Age old question.

Rummy,
I think is one of those "it depends" type of answers. If you're drinking
coffee in the morning and you add a shot of brandy or Kailua (or rum), then
it's never too early to drink. If you're in New Orleans (as we just were)
and wake up with the remains of the frozen margarita from the night before
on the night stand and your throat is parched, then it is never too early to
drink. If it's football season and it's a noon game and you're making
Bloody Mary's, then it's never too early to drink. But if you wake up and
start pouring shots of tequila, well, it might not be too early to drink,
but some people might think you have a problem. Beer first thing in the
morning is also probably frowned upon, but champagne and orange juice are
perfectly acceptable. So, to me, the question is, not when is the proper
time, but what is the proper drink. Hope this helps.
